About How Stuff Works Express!
Our mission is to enhance learning and boost student performance through cool content and time-saving, classroom-ready teaching materials. HowStuffWorks Express makes learning fun by integrating science, math, technology and reading in one great package.
A division of HowStuffWorks, Inc., an award-winning media and e-learning company, the staff of HowStuffWorks Express includes writers, editors, graphic artists, Web designers and nationally certified teachers in science, math and language arts who have years of classroom teaching experience. There is nothing else like it.
Our goals are to:
- Make learning about science, math and technology fun through a powerful combination of "cool," real-world topics, lively text, superior graphics and online interactive features.
- Save time and lower the risk for teachers of integrating new materials and new methods into classrooms by packaging support materials in "teacher-ready" formats.
- Enhance student performance on standardized tests or other performance measures.
- Continually adapt and modify based on customer (teacher, student and parent) needs, especially recognizing today's testing and "accountability" driven environment.
- Assist in work-force development by exciting students about science and math and opening their eyes to new career opportunities.
