It is time once again for the Winter Olympics. Depending on what grade you are in, this may be the first Winter Olympics that you really get to watch. If you are older, it might be your second.

Either way it will be fantastic. There is the skiing, the snow boarding, the speed skating, the figure skating, the bobsleds, the amazing ski jumps... You get to see athletes performing at their peak for two straight weeks.

But have you ever thought about all the technology that surrounds these athletes? The skaters skate on ice, but it is not ordinary ice. It is actually amazing ice specifically designed for the sport. Speed skaters and hockey players and figure skaters all need different ice to do their things. Where does this ice come from?

What about the bobsleds? And the suits these athletes wear? There is an amazing amount of technology on display at the Olympic Games. Today you get the chance to go behind the scenes and see how it works.
