The Hummer H3T
The Hummer H3T concept car made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in 2004. The big goal of this design is simple: The designers wanted to find out how people would react to a Hummer pickup truck. The Hummer H2 is an SUV. Would a Hummer pickup excite new customers, or would they yawn?

One of the new ideas that the H3T tries out is side doors on the pickup truck bed. In every pickup on the road today, the only way into the bed is through the tailgate. The H3T puts doors on the side of the bed, and has foldout steps to make the bed easier to access. The big question here is, "Do people like this idea, or does it flop?"

Another new idea that the H3T tries out is a folding canvas roof. It is essentially the first convertible pickup truck! The rear window drops down to enhance the open feeling. The big question regarding this feature is, "Does this excite or impress anyone?"

If you ever see a Hummer pickup truck on the road, it will be because this concept car successfully presented an idea and people really got it. If you don't see it, then the concept car didn't excite enough people for the idea to make it to production.
